Duke Restaurant Palma is a special treat. It looks like an unassuming beachside surf-shack from the outside but boy what a meal awaits you inside!
This snug restaurant in the heart of Santa Catalina at Calle Soler 36 has definitely become one of the ` buzziest ´ places to eat in Palma.
A partnership of Chef Jorge Esteve from Valencia, Spain and chef Ronny Portulidis from Greece, who has trained in a number of Michelin starred restaurants and now brings his own take on what he considers the best in modern cuisine.
Abandoning both butter and cream to provide you with a healthy dining experience chef Ronny delivers on flavour and taste every time.
Open six evenings a week there is an inspired menu of tapas plates to enjoy and they also cater well for vegetarians and vegans with a wide selection of plant-based tapas such as `Ronny´s Green Super bowl ´ a mix of broccoli, kale green beans, sweet potato, cashew pesto and quinoa.
There is also an international selection of Japanese, Indian and Persian dishes as well as a good choice of ceviche dishes including the `Duke House Special´ of fresh sea bass ceviche with avocado, tomato, red onion and coriander.
The conventional main dishes offer several curries, such as Keralan fish curry and Thai green curry as well as nod to chef Ronny and his Greek heritage, Greek grilled lamb kebabs which are delicious!
